for me the USB was the best option. I have two mics a Yetis which is a little more expensive and my favorite the Maono which is very inexpensive but a solid mic. The Yeti GX is USB-C ,a Dynamic Mic and, The Maono AUA04 is a Condenser mic. Both are popular and have solid specs.

• The one downside is I can't hear myself during the podcast. Playback is solid and I test on Audacity to set my levels but it is annoying.

After looking at different podcasting sites. We chose Chatmosa (feel free to check out our shows! )It has the benefit of remote podcasting and interactive audio as well as all-in-one hosting for other podcasting mediums, ie:Spotify,Audible,etc. There is a free and paid option. The paid option is for podcasters but can also be used for book clubs and many other avenues. But I also believe you should look around find the right benefit for you.

Moreover, identifying a quiet space in your home for recording is vital. Good acoustic treatment can be attempted inexpensively with soft furnishings, carpets, and curtains to minimize echo and improve sound clarity.
